6th Day, Suruli Falls Walk back - 20 May 2011

On this day an other horror was awaiting me to grip my heart. My plan for this day was to visit Suruli Falls near Cumbum.

Started pretty earlier and took bus from Andipatti to Cumbum, via Thani. In the mid way between thani and cumbum, i saw the name board mentioning Magamalai 25KM, which was top on my list of spots to be visited. From Cumbum, i took a mini bus that transited tourist & villagers to Surulipatti and Suruli Falls (8KM from cumbum).

Arriving there, i took a walk through the forest inhabited by sellers of Soap, detergent for tourist to do all their bathing and washing right in the middle of the forest creating potential treat to the health of the wildlife.

I was vary much upset of what was and is happening for Suruli wildlife and walk the way back to Cumbum.

On my way back i was presented with beautiful landscapes which are there for several years, just because of the wild habitat that exists. It's still not out of reach to stop human interference with the natural world. And it's all in the hands of the authorise that rule us.

4th day, Parriyakulam to Kumbakarai 9km, 18 May 2011

Then the next day was my day, alone to be myself. With enough detail i gathered about the place called Kumbakarai.

I started off from Andipatti Bus stand on a bus towards Parriyakulam at 11.30am, it costed only 6 rs. I reached Parriyakulam by 12.30pm, then came to know that bus to Kumbakarai is only at 1.15pm.

Eventually my wish came true. I started to walk the road to kumbakarai, people there were looking at me as if i was from an other world because of all the gears i had. On my way one took concern on me and asked "where i was going?", then guided me on a short route to reduce few kilometre of walk. Thanks to that kind hear. Then walked may be some 3 kilometres to reach this temple which he mentioned.

walked...

walked...

walked...

walked...

walked...

...it was very pleasant and soothing to walk on the road, through the gentle breeze seemingly endless road.. walked...

to find a very unpleasant situation...

Moved further into forest to find the beautiful wild habitat unravel itself before my eye.

Spent 45 mins jumping on one rock to the other and climbing up the way through the streams.

On my way back i have been presented with these images to represent the horror happening to the wildlife, because of the poor knowledge about nature and its importance...

2nd day, On the Streets - 16 May 2011

Anandhi has invite to her native was for the festival that happen every year, which was not my intention at all in going there - to be true. But very much happy to get along with Karthic's family, especially Jo (Jovitha) - the one in the below images and Harish.

I like the earring of this girl

The streets of this town had a lot to photograph and everything there reflected the way those people leave.

Honey candy, the one special of any village. But missed to taste it.

Rose seller on the street.

Tonal variation, is what made me to take this photograph.

This is a window in the bed room of anandhi's house, taking photograph of this part of the house was there on my mind from the moment i saw it for the first time.

Door of Karthick's house, taken to remember those time i spent with them.

Moon in their sky, but always the same - has i was there in their place

I wanted this photograph this way, fly high but fly back down to where you belong.

Sea of leaves and a pearl on the shore.

First day in Andipatti - 15 May 2011

Once reached, i had a very long sleep till the evening. When woke up, i went up the stairs to find the world closing eyes off me. Then run down to get my camera to capture the life around, with the very last presence of daylight.

Cloud have become my greatest admiration in recent years, the forms they take ever few mins is an art by itself.

I believe everyone who see this photograph will like it.

Actually, i was staying at a place called "ANDIPATTI" which is of course Anandhi's Native. It's surrounded my mountains one behind the other in the depths. I felt i should also have a place there but much closer to nature. Andipatti is much like a place you could see in chennai except these beautiful mountain in far away place.

We ride the same life with different colours, we are humans. To me everyone is equal but humane is one, i value the most than any other quality.

Unexpected start, Trip to Sis - Anandhi's native place - 14 May 2011

This trip to Thani was really not in my mind until the last moment, this has happened only because of my beautiful sister Anandhi, she was very much prudent in making this happen. And also my friend Karthick, an other kind heart who made this possible. I was very much happy being there and they were great companion most of the time. I also like the house i was in. You could see some photographs take inside the house one of the posts dedicated to every particular day of the trip.

This trip started at railway station, as most of mine was... We felt lucky to have a special train on that day and had fun conforming wether it will stop at Madurai with an engine driver.

these two were spent time listening to song from one mobile/player but enjoyed being there until a drunken fellow started to disturb them, which then grow up as a big fight with blood strains and wounds. But not to these two. I see most of people in india are not alway happy see others well being. This drunken fellow was on of them.

This appealed me because of the name it had on it. That was J.Selvaraj, which also my fathers name.

You will never feel alone and will be much more wiser when books become your companion in the life's journey, my dad always used to say that. But to me it took long time to befriend them in my journey.

This was my first unreserved train journey and hadn't faced much of a trouble. But had to be awake all the way long till we reached madurai to keep the things safe, that we carried . And i'm grateful that she was there awake when i fell asleep.

But very often her companion was her mobile.

It takes a lot to hold someones hand all through the walk the life. For me, i'm ready to hold her hand, but waiting for her sign - to you ML.

Sis forgive me for using the photo of yours to pour out my feeling.
